Danny Dyer has his temperature checked as EastEnders cast make comeback to set

EastEnders star Danny Dyer had his temperature checked as he returned to the set of Albert Square on Tuesday.

The legendary soap star, 42, who plays Mick Carter on the show, was pictured driving into the studios ahead of filming.

As part of new safety regulations, the cast members were required to have their temperature checked by security before entering the premises.

The EastEnders actors finally returned to filming on Monday however it is unclear when the new episodes will air on television.

A number of other stars were also spotted undergoing temperature checks as they arrived at the Elstree Studios.

Luisa Bradshaw-White, 45, who plays Tina Carter followed closely after Danny and also had her temperature checked from the window of her car.

James Bye – the actor who plays Martin Fowler – was also spotted driving through the rainy weather into the studios.

EastEnders legend Jessie Wallace, who had been suspended since the start of the year, also appears to have reprised her role on the show.

The brunette star was spotted driving into the studios on Monday, and also had her temperature checked to adhere with coronavirus safety regulations.

Soap fans are excited for the cast to make a triumphant return to set after the show was forced to suspend filming in March amid the pandemic.

In June, the Walford soap was forced off-air for the first time in 35 years after running out of episodes.

Among a number of new safety measures, the cast and crew of the hit show are expected to maintain social distancing when they are at work.

Speaking about how they maintain a distance, soap insider Sharon Mashall revealed that the cast used a two meter long stick.

“So you can poke people to make sure they’re a two-metre distance from each other,” Sharon recently said on This Morning.
