Five-month-old baby to suffer lifelong injuries, court hearsjuillet 1, 2020
A man accused of causing a five-month old baby lifelong injuries and possibly permanent brain damage has been denied bail.
The five-month-old boy was found unresponsive at a Bundamba home last Tuesday and taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The baby remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The court today heard the baby’s injuries were consistent with being violently shaken.
The 23-year-old accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will face the Ipswich Magistrates Court again later this month.
