Kim Kardashian slammed by ex-employee ‘who struggled to buy food due to low pay’juillet 1, 2020
An alleged former employee of Kim Kardashian has sensationally claimed that the billionaire reality star paid her so badly while she worked on her apps that she struggled to provide for herself.
Beauty reporter Jessica DeFino has made the shock claim that she was reprimanded by the Kardashian family when she tried to pick up extra work to support her income.
Jessica took to Twitter on Tuesday, hours after it had been revealed that 39-year-old reality star Kim Kardashian had reached billionaire status after selling part of her make-up company to cosmetics giant Coty.
The alleged former employee hit out at the reality star for bragging about all the horses she owns on her sprawling Wyoming ranch.
Kim shared photos of a giant Frisian horse – admittedly with a truly magnificent mane – alongside seven-year-old daughter North West.
Kim shared the images on Twitter alongside the caption: “Meet North’s Freesian horse. We have 14 gorgeous Freesians on the ranch.”
Jessica then replied to the tweet stating: “I had to buy groceries at the 99 Cents Only Store when I worked as an editor on the Kardashian-Jenner Official Apps.”
She then accused the Kardashians of blocking her from finding extra work to boost her income, claiming: “and got reprimanded for freelancing on the side.”
The tweet drew widespread attention from Kardashian fans and critics alike, with an overwhelming majority slamming the reality star.
One follower tweeted in disgust: “Wow. There’s just no words for this family.”
Jessica’s Linkedin page claims she worked for the Kardashians between May 2015 and July 2016 as and Assistant Editor of Khloe Kardashian Official App.
Her work details stat she: “Launched all 5 Kardashian Official Apps”, “Created and ghostwrote content for Khloé Kardashian + Kendall Jenner Apps across sites and socials”, and “Took over email/newsletter marketing for all 5 Official Apps and saw 40% increase in OR, 17% increase in CTR, and 11% conversion rate”.
She also claims: “At the time of leaving, I had conceptualized and/or created 73% of the top content since app launch (Khloé Kardashian Official App) and 80% of the top content since app launch (Kendall Jenner Official App).”
Meanwhile another beauty writer named Elizabeth Denton also claimed to have endured a difficult time working for the Kardashians where she experienced some further allegedly miserly treatment.
She replied to Jessica’s tweet to claim: “They had me do a 10 page edit test on Christmas Eve and then ghosted me.”
Mirror Online have contacted representatives of the Kardashians for comment.
