Pfizer asks FDA to allow emergency use of coronavirus vaccine

The AstraZeneca vaccine, which is being produced by biotechnology giant CSL, is on track to be ready by December 28 but will need to be tested in various clinical trials and approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). This is expected to delay the roll out of the jab to the end of January with Health Minister Greg Hunt earlier forecasting the first dose of a successful vaccine won’t be available until March.CSL began producing millions of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on November 9 in their factory in Melbourne.
